Abstract/Summary
The expected output of this study is a fabricated mixing apparatus and computer program that controls the flow of the hot water in order to achieve the desired temperature of the mixer.Continuously flowing water at two different temperatures are mixed together in a tank. The temperature of the effluent mixture is maintained constant by controlling the flow of hot water entering. A solenoid valve (ON-OFF valve) is used as a flow control element. The solenoid valve is manipulated by a computer program written in Turbo Pascal language. This program written in Turbo Pascal language. This program gets in the voltage signals of the three thermocouples (hot, cold and mixture) and translate them to their equivalent temperatures. The relationship of these temperatures with the desired effluent temperature determines the position of the valve whether on or off.
