Abstract/Summary

Champoy...the Last Bite is a video documentary on the show Champoy and the ingredients that made it a hit, namely, the comedy, the music and the friendship. This video documentary has Noel Trinidad, the shows creator and executive producer, as the central character who acts as the prime narrator as well as the mediator from scene to scene to unify the documentary. The documentary includes clips from interviews of the Champoy barkada , namely Subas Herrero, Gary Lising, Tessie Tomas, Cherie Gil, Mitch Valdes and Peque Gallarga, the show's director. To complement the dialogue, inserts of past shows and still photos were included. In order to fulfill this project's requirements, we conducted a series of interviews with the Champoy bardaka , previewed tapes of past Champoy episodes and gathered as much material as we could concerning the subject. We also hired the services and equipment of Videospec Productions with Videospec handling the camera work, lighting, audio and editing technicalities and us handling the concept, production, direction and editing direction of the entire project. This video documentary was shot on U-matic and lasts 44 minutes and 38 seconds in its entirety. No voice-over narration was necessary since it was our policy in the editing of the video that we would present it in such a way that the interviewees themselves would develop the flow and create the mood for the documentary.
