Abstract/Summary
TREC ONLINE (Three-Dee Rendered Environmental Chat Online) is an applied computer supported cooperative work (CSCW) system that supports wide connectivity via the Internet. It basically provides a good 3D representation of Virtual Environment and Avatars for better user experience. The system includes several groupware modules such as file transferring, message boards, chat facilities, and multi-sessions, to promote real-time communication and cooperative activity among the users. The need of 3D technology and virtual representations is evident in existing software systems at present time. With this need, a new technology is discovered wherein it lets the user experience a more realistic environment.
