Abstract/Summary
Sponges were collected in Talin Bay, Lian, Batangas on May 18 and June 9, 1994. Identification was done using the taxonomic keys and descriptions of Bergquist (1978), Caberoy (1981, 1992), and Van Soest (1980). Seventy-five specimens were collected, all of which belong to Class Demospongiae, three subclasses, eleven olders, eighteen families and thirty genera and forty-one species. The orders represented were Orders Axinellida, Hadromerida, Spirophorida, Haplosclerida, Poecilosclerida, Dictyyoceratida, Dendroceratida, Verongiida, Homosclero-morphida, Halichondrida and Desmacidonidae.
