Abstract/Summary
Shellfish samples were obtained from Masinloc, Zambales and Tinaglipan, Milagros, Masbate for isolation and purification of diarrhetic shellfish poisoning toxins. Extracted samples from the shellfish were analyzed and purified by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with a reverse phase column. The toxins were further analyzed by electrospray ionization mass spectrophotometry (ESI-MS) and mouse bioassay. The results were promising.
