Abstract/Summary
The system is made up of electronic coin slot, calibrated single-phase digital watt meter, PIC16F877A microcontroller, 3x4 keypad, and 4x20 LCD. The rate per kilowatt hour is predefined by the electricity provider administrator. This works as a prepaid electricity where in the user must insert P5 coins until the amount is greater or equal than the predefined rate before he can use electricity. The amount of coins inserted, rate per kilowatt hour and electric consumption are displayed in the LCD.
