Abstract/Summary
JOEL is a 16 minute and 32 second documentary about a child with cancer. Mark Ian Joel Acosta is the subject of this documentary. Joel has been diagnosed to have fibrous sarcoma, more commonly known as cancer of the soft tissues. This documentary reveals what role cancer plays in the lives of Joel and his family.
This documentary was shot with a V-8 camera and a VHS camera, edited in non-linear, mastered in Betacam, and transferred to VHS. Filipino and English are the languages used throughout the entire documentary.
The proponents of this documentary intend to give the audience a different perspective of what cancer is.
