Abstract/Summary
This documentary explores three directors, Mark Meily, Quark Henares, and Jeffrey Jeturian, and their works. Philippine cinema is currently facing a slump, in the hands of formula films. These three directors, with their different approaches to filmmaking and storytelling, are producing films that are a cut above the rest of those being released at present. They are not claiming to change the industry, nor are they about to submit to the norm either. But in doing the stories that they believe in or are closer to their hearts is enough of a contribution, maybe even an improvement, at this point in time. Though it cannot be said what lies in the future for Philippine cinema, hopefully their films would serve as inspiration, as standard, in the years to come, and eventually jumpstart Philippine cinema's birth.
