Abstract/Summary
This research shows how identifications of organizational members can be seen through discourse in situated activities which then from their organizational identities. The organization the research focused on, Awana Philippines, is a large non-profit faith based missionary organization. Six Awana clubs (churches) were chosen as field-sites from the city of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan of which emerged six themes: Faith (recognition of God as an integral part of their activities), Empathy (consideration and respect for one another), Uplifting One Another (will to uplift or inspire members), Familial Connection (familial belongingness in the organization), God Influence to the members (how awana makes their members grow to be better people and agents of society), and Devotion (devotion or willingness to go beyond what is expected of the member). This research provides information about identifications and how these are seen in situated activities as well as further the literature on non-profit, faith-based, missionary organizations in the Philippines.
