Abstract/Summary
The 8088 Simulator is a project whose primary purpose is to develop a software program to stimulate the 8088 Training Kit. The software program is divided into two parts, namely: the simulation part and the tutorial part. The tutorial part is the section that teaches the user how to use the training kit. It includes a discussion on the different functions of the keys of the training kit, a discussion on how to program and debug, a discussion on the different registers and addressing modes, and a discussion on the basic CPU architecture and configuration of the 8088 microprocessor. While the simulation part is a program that is able to imitate or simulate the 8088 Training Kit , and allows the user to enter instructions just like in the 8088 Training Kit.
