Abstract/Summary

The Manila Electric Company (MERALCO), the biggest private electric utility company in the Philippines formed a group of employees known as the Meralco Transformation Project Task Force to handle its re-engineering process. The pilot program of the MTP task force is the Operating Trouble Management System (OTMS). OTMS is an information system that facilitates the way the company receives, analyzes, and resolves operating complaints.

The project which is entitled OTMS...towards change is a 5 minute video film that discusses what OTMS is, how it deals with operating complaints, and what benefits the employees can get from the program. The video was shot with V8 and VHS cameras and edited in VHS format. The English and Filipino languages were used in the video to better convey the message to its target audience.

With this video, the proponents intend to disseminate information to all employees of the company in order to get their cooperation and support in the initial and other programs that will be launched by the MTP task force.
