Abstract/Summary

The film, Joey , narrates the story of two brothers: the older brother, Paolo, a 24-year old man who has unintentionally been neglecting his brotherly duties as a kuya, and joey, a simple 7 year old. After their mother had passed away, Paolo was left with the responsibility of taking care of himself and Joey. But with this he has forgotten to be there for Joey. One day after getting into an argument with Joey, Paolo finds him covered in blood in their room. It is revealed that Joey had inherited their mother's leukemia.

With limited time left with his younger brother, Paolo decides to make up for the lost time. In the process, Paolo learns to relax and spend more time enjoying the simple things in life as Joey did rather than spend all of it working.
