Abstract/Summary
The film, #Real, narrated the life of a millennial in social media. John, a 21-year old young man is musically gifted. He is an introvert who gets introduced to making song covers through a video-sharing platform Youtube by Andrea. Andrea is younger than John by a year, but has established her career as a cover artist on Youtube. She saw John's talent and potential, and helped him get started on his own career by helping him gain followers. Shortly after, others began to see John's talent as well. He gained the attention of many people from all around the world his numbers of followers exceeded his expectations. He began to form new connections with people for their popularity, and nothing more. After John accomplished his goal, he leaves his new found friends when he has nothing left to gain from them.
In the end, John loses himself. His new persona drove Andrea away, the only friend who really cared about him.
