Abstract/Summary
The present study aimed to determine the relationship between positive illusions, which are the love-is-blind bias and the unrealistic positive relationship perceptions, and relationship satisfaction. There were (N=50) romantic couples with 25 heterosexual couples and 25 homosexual couples who participated in the study. Analysis used were t-test independent by variables and Pearson correlation. In terms of positive illusion on physical attractiveness (love-is-blind bias), significant results were yielded meaning that positive illusion on this aspect exists among both the heterosexual and homosexual romantic couples. On the other hand, no significant relationship was found between the two types of positive illusion and relationship satisfaction which is not in parallel with the previous studies results.
