Abstract/Summary
This study deals with the emotional motivations behind being in a homosexual romantic relationship from a heterosexual romantic relationship. With a qualitative approach, the researchers were able to construct three major themes that were considered as the emotional motivations for both male and female homosexuals. These are Personal Gratification, Mutual Understanding, and Curiosity. There are also two individual themes, Equality for the female homosexuals, and Father Figure for the male homosexuals.
