Abstract/Summary
The electromagnetic frequency spectrum is limited and non-renewable. The rapid development of new technologies in communications has led to an overcrowded at present and it would be difficult if not impossible to avail for a bandwidth of frequencies to communicate additional information in wireless applications.
The thesis aims to embed information to the host audio (music) signal that is to be transmitted for commercial FM radio application while concealing the very existence of the hidden information. This paper presents a comparative study of different audio steganography algorithms in terms of data accuracy and signal fidelity. This includes existing algorithms together with a proposed variation of an existing algorithm in order to determine the algorithm that best suits FM radio application.
