Abstract/Summary
An Evaluation of the Performance of a Fluidized Bed Gasifier using sawdust as feedstock for production of gaseous fuel was done through experimentation. Included in the study were the effects of the different parameters such as the bed temperature, feedrates, and air flowrates.Fluidized bed gasification system using air as fluidizing medium was performed. The measure of effectivity was based on the heating value of the gas produced.Based on the results obtained the heating value was shown to increase with increasing bed temperature while it was presented to decrease with increasing feedrate and air flowrate.
