Abstract/Summary
The Safe-Path Indicator for Velasco Building is a fire protection system designed specifically to point to a path nearest the fire exits of stairs unaffected by fire. The direction is provided by light emitting diodes (LEDs) situated in key areas of the building. Fire-detection sensors assigned to the different groups or zones of the building will activate the system. A logic gating system was designed to achieve this purpose. The other features of the system include a monitor that will indicate the area of the building on fire and an audible alarm that will indicate the presence of a fire.
