Abstract/Summary
Laguna lake water was used as a medium to cultivate Spirulina because Laguna lake water has a lot of nutrients. These nutrients are bicarbonates, nitrates and phosphates that come from factories and agricultural lands around the lake. In this study sodium bicarbonates and table salts were added, while the ph was adjusted from 8.5 to 10 to complete the nutrients required by the Spirulina in order to grow optimally. Using Laguna lake water not only helped the Spirulina to grow optimally but it also minimized the cost of production.
