Abstract/Summary
The post-apocalyptic fiction sub-genre barely exists in the Philippine media, prompting the idea of such a film in Filipino context. To achieve this, the project aims to emphasize on the opposing ideas of isolation and paranoia to the community-centeredness of Filipino culture. Additionally, research and familiarization with the sub-genre is included in order to achieve its basic elements. This is done through analysis of may post-apocalyptic films and television series from both Eastern and Western media, as well as insight from many articles regarding the sub-genre.
