Abstract/Summary

The Board of Investments (BOI) has implemented a new report submission scheme which all BOI registered firms are required to submit. With this new scheme, the existing Supervision Information System could not support all the data and this forced the Industry Planning Group (IPG) departments to manually record information in index cards. The existing SIS is also incapable of generating the reports and queries needed by the Industry Planning Group of BOI. The Supervision Information System for the Board of Investments (SIS-BOI) is our proposed solution to these problems. The SIS-BOI will replace the old system and it aims to minimize the need to file into filing cabinets other information not covered by the current SIS. It will also generate the reports needed for evaluation and monitoring purposes and make information readily accessible. The new system certainly gives an advantage not only in the IPG departments but to the BOI in general in terms of monitoring, supervising and evaluating registered firms that greatly helps in raising the economy of our country.
