Abstract/Summary

The Civil Registry Information System is a system that maintains all records regarding the vital forms, namely, Certificate of Live Birth, Certificate of Death, Certificate of Marriage, and Marriage License. This system can be applicable to any municipality located in the Philippines. With the computerized system, the process of registration and retrieval of records will be made easier and faster. The process of registration will be automatically stored in the system's database. With this, it will eliminate the process of binding, which makes the operation longer. Retrieval of records will be much faster since a record could easily be searched using the new system. Unlike in the manual system, there is a delay in searching for records because of the disorganized filing system of thousands of documents.

The system will be applying a client-server architecture, where the database will be maintained in the server. The clients will serve as workstations that will be requesting for the needed information to the server. These computers will be connected in a local area network (LAN) to allow sharing of resources.
