Abstract/Summary
The thesis is a Computer-Aided Instruction software to serve as an aide to instructors of the deaf in teaching to communicate through the use of sign language. The software will be utilizing a collection of scanned images and words to illustrate to the learner the words he wants to learn. The software will also be using a hand-held text scanner to capture images to be stored as word-image pairs. This software aims to ease the burden of instructors of the deaf in teaching and at the same time, help deaf students to learn more efficiently and at a faster pace.
