Abstract/Summary

Sa tamang panahon (At the right time) is a short feature film that begins with a change in a young girl's life, which is her first menstruation, and how this opens the door for her and her family to finally start accepting the events that have happened to them thus far.

The film, which is about a provincial family and each of its member's role in the household, will be produced with hints of humor, shifting away from the dramatic genre typically used to portray family-centered films. The film portrays the family's dynamic and shows how this is altered by changed and loss.

Sa tamang panahon has a simple yet taboo premise about a girl's first period, but in the greater scheme of things, shows that a family's completeness and functionality is not measured by the presence of each member but rather the roles they take on for one another.
