Abstract/Summary
The sugarcane plant represents the world's most efficient crop. Sugarcane is a tall grass which grows in various regions in the Philippines namely: Luzon, Negros Island, Panay, Cebu, Leyte and Mindanao. In the Philippines where the majority of children need more calories and nutrients for their young bodies, a basic source is sugarcane. Sugarcane can be processed right in the farm even without sugar mills. The paper describes a sugarcane juice extractor and/or multi-function juice extractor that may establish the groundwork for the advancement of the processing field in the Philippines. This can be achieved by the construction of an equipment that can be employed in farms or any small scale enterprise. The system is made up of a three-roller mill, gears, ball bearing, coupling, speed reducer, and driven by an electric motor.
