Abstract/Summary

Beetle TRaM-X is a realization of a dream, a dream to develop an Expert System for the Volkswagen Beetle that would meet the needs of the vehicle's car-owner. To have a system wherein certain task that would need the services of an expert, that of a mechanic, would be properly addressed by the system. The introduction of our user-friendly option screens would allow the user to navigate around the system with ease. An interactive-user-dialogue system would enable the system to diagnose certain faults and to give the corresponding repair procedures. The installation of a graphics interface would allow the user to view certain parts of the vehicle and the introduction of features would allow the user to add, modify and delete the different knowledge and data bases. This is an Expert System that is both useful and practical that could supplement the stock knowledge that its user already possesses.
