Abstract/Summary
The researchers had their thesis defense on April 14, 2009. During the defense, the reader, Miss Charmaine Misalucha, asked the researchers to restate their hypothesis and to explain how the structured their arguments and the bases of such. She also advised them to make few changes in order to improve their undergraduate thesis. The researchers stated that their arguments were based on their theory, General Systems Theory, and that the said theory was used as the framework of their study. The researchers made the following changes based on the suggestions of their reader. An explanation of each chapter of the study was made in the scope and limitation portion. The theoretical argument and the theoretical framework were merged. Tenses of the research methodology portion were changed into past tense. Data analysis and interpretation were merged with the research methodology as well. The reader asked the researchers to eliminate the chapter dedicated to General Systems Theory and incorporate it to the other chapters. Instead of having one chapter dedicated for the pre- and post-9/11 relations, the reader suggested that the said event should be made into two separate chapters, pre-9/11 and post-9/11, respectively. However, the researchers believe that GST is one of the factors that make this thesis unique. Therefore, the researchers opted to revise their scope and limitations instead. Pre- and post-9/11 were used to strengthen the arguments and principles of the theory. The researchers edited the grammatical and topographical errors that the reader pointed out. Some errors within the footnote section were also edited. The non-scholarly sources were omitted from the study. Those sources that were not used in the footnotes were deleted from the bibliography section. The legend found in the theoretical diagram because the researchers were not able to explain the meaning of the broken lines, which refer to the open system.
