Abstract/Summary
This study was conducted to develop an environmental assessment tool and evaluate the environmental performance of concrete batching plants. A survey of 32 concrete batching plants was reported. Two of which are ISO 14001 accredited batching plants and thirty of them were non-ISO 14001 accredited batching plant. Survey questionnaire consisting of 90 questions were directed to managers, engineers, and non-technical staff of the batching plants. The results were evaluated by means of several statistical methods. The implications of the study for environmental performance of concrete batching plants are then discussed.
