Abstract/Summary
Allie, allure is a short film centered around the life of Allie, a quiet, brooding teenager who is wrapping up her final year in high school. As she deals with the stress of graduating, and the turmoil between her recently separated parents, she turns to teen heartthrob pop singer Jaime Sanchez for emotional gratification. What starts off as harmless admiration, becomes taxing and dangerous, as Allie begins to depend on Jaime to save her from her own unhappy life.
This film aims to depict what happens when the line between fandom and obsession becomes blurred, especially in the age of social media. It will also shed light on to the concept of using fandom as a means of escapism, as well as the dangers that exist when this method is taken too far.
