Abstract/Summary
This paper is about the lifting of the EU arms embargo on China. It examines on how the lifting of arms embargo would affect the relationship of France, Germany, and the United Kingdom with the United States. This paper presented the contending views of China, the United States, France, Germany and the United Kingdom, as to why they are opposed or approved of the lifting of arms embargo. The paper concluded that states inherent need to pursue national interests could lead to an increase in tensions between the U.S. and the EU member states.
