Abstract/Summary
This isolated-word speech recognition system is a PC-based implementation which has limited vocabulary and is speaker dependent. Speech data is obtained by sampling voice input that has been band-limited to 4KHZ. Analysis is then performed on the speech samples by extracting time and frequency domain parameters that will be used in template matching operations. By having limited vocabulary, the system is suitable for voice activated control applications while offering security by being speaker dependent.
