Abstract/Summary
This undergraduate thesis discusses the campaign strategies employed by four member states of the European Union for the ratification of the EU Constitution. These four member states are France, the Netherlands, Spain and Luxembourg. The researchers have used qualitative research to gather data by examining journals, newspaper articles, official websites, official press releases and other secondary sources that can be accessed in the Philippines. This study aims to analyze the role played by the member states as agents of further integration based on the campaigning strategies employed in influencing its citizens to ratify the EU Constitution. Based on the data and information gathered, the researchers conclude that the result of the referendum for the EU Constitution is not the enormously dependent on the role of the campaigning strategies by the member states but on the social, political and economic factors that are present.
