Abstract/Summary
With the advent of political stability and our energy problems now almost a thing of the past, the Philippines has become one of the better performing stock markets in the world. [TPS94]. It is also observed that a number of middle class people has become more and more interested in stock investments. It is for these reasons that a software like Stockwatch is developed. Stockwatch is designed to perform technical analysis of stocks on a specified period of time. This approach includes charting of stock prices, application of tools and charting of technical indicators. Based from these studies, analysis is performed by the system and generates reports and information such as whether to buy, sell or hold stocks. StockWatch may not solve all investment problems. Nevertheless, the study of technical analysis and its applications do pay dividends and is more profitable, or rather, far safer for the average investor than any of the presently recognized and established approaches to the problems of buying and selling stock.
