Abstract/Summary
The telephone is one of the most useful and reliable tools of modern civilization. In a very complex and technological world, the telephone is still the most vital means of communication between two people. In today's very fast paced world, the use of the telephone is being maximized. It is used in trading stocks, in sending messages to other persons who have no telephones (through pagers), you can even transact with the bank by just using the phone. As time passes by, many added features are now available with our telephone system. There is the videophone which enables us to see the image of the person we are talking to. Call waiting which lets us know if another person is trying to reach us while we are using our phone. And Caller Identification, which lets us identify the source of the incoming call by displaying the telephone number of the calling party. This study is focused on presenting how the Caller Identification feature works.
