Abstract/Summary
Executive Summary1. Management Aspect The Good Earth Corporation shall compose of 7 Board of Directors who are responsible on the overall management of the entire company. The president shall act as the general manager who is responsible for effective management of all aspects of the company's activities so as to ensure operations, realize maximum profits, and assure security and growth of invested capital compatible with the best interest of the employees, consumers and owners. Top management shall include VP-Marketing, VP-Finance, VP-Production, and VP-Purchasing. The duties of these people is to coordinate and plan activities within their respective departments and at the same time, interact with other departments. They shall also be responsible for their respective management functions and accountable for the effectivity and efficiency of their respective subordinates. Middle management includes the administrative staff of the VP's namely the sales manager, marketing analyst, treasurer, accountant, operation manager, quality controller and purchasing agents. These persons are responsible in carrying out the day-to-day company activities in order to meet company's objectives. Finally, factory staff personnel shall be responsible for the production process.2. Social Desirability Aspect This aspect of the study shows the economic as well as social contribution of the project if implemented. The project upon implementation is expected to generate employment which could help in the alleviation of poverty in the Philippines.Income generated from employment will contribute to the country's gross national product as well as to the income to be generated by the government from taxed income.The project is aimed at promoting environment-friendly product such as the paper cup. Such product is expected to replace non-biodegradable plastic cups to support movements regarding the preservation and improvement of our environment.3. Marketing Aspect The product to be introduced in the market possess almost the same characteristics as those of cold drinking plastic cups except that the former is made up of biodegradable material in the form of recycled paper. The paper cups may be offered as plain or printed/personalized. However, the print is subject to a maximum of four colors only. Regardless of size and kind, each cup will carry a short caption about environmental awareness. These cups will then be packed in plastic container, each plastic containing 100 pieces, before delivery to the company-users is made.The corporation shall concentrate its marketing mix towards satisfying the needs of the different food establishments operating in the National Capital Region which are currently classified as plastic cup users. Moreover, the group aims to serve only those establishments that shall purchase at least 50,000 pieces of paper cups per order.The demand of the target market for plastic cups shall be projected through the straight line method.
