Abstract/Summary

Computer network means an interconnected collection of autonomous computers. Two computers are said to be interconnected if they are able to exchange information. Networking enables resource sharing, and because an individual usually does not work in isolation, this is very important. Because of the difficulty in installing lines for communication, the group decided to propose a computer communications project using power line, thus, the primary objective of the group is to make computers communicate using the said medium. To achieve this objective, the group developed a hardware circuitry that will be appropriate to make communication through power line possible. Since the group proposed a Local Area Network, some protocol must be made in order for the computers to communicate properly, this suitable protocol is the 802.4 IEEE standard token-bus access method. The software developed was just a variation of the standard protocol, so the group recommends that the standard be fully followed, and to make the program memory resident.
