Abstract/Summary
The MIPS64RTE is a runtime environment that will be able to load and execute MIPS programs. Since the MIPS architecture only provided primary functions, there is the lack of system calls that are important to the user, and there are few runtime environments available to execute MIPS programs. To handle the problem, MIPS64RTE will be providing function calls that are not available to the actual MIPS. This includes system calls and basic input/output functions, from which it can also execute the program in the system. The MIPS64RTE will also serve as an educational tool to students who are taking up Computer Architecture, as well as MIPS programmers.
