Abstract/Summary
Executive summary: Logistics Management System mainly deals with the planning, controlling, and monitoring of goods and services within a firm as a support to attain better customer service. In most cases, logistics is often connoted to manufacturing industries, because of the heavy requirements to maintain the resources being used to continue their operations. However, logistics may also be extended to service industries, in this case, in hospitals.
As the subject of the study, University of Santo Tomas Hospital would be the beneficiary of the system development. The concept of logistics would deal with the management of the hospital resources ensuring its availability to its patients. The concept of 7R as the primary objectives of logistics would explain the entirely of the proposal. The system will ensure that products will be served at the right price, right place, right time, right condition, right product, right customer and right quantity.
