Abstract/Summary

Not being able to lock the main door, back door, bedroom door, and other important doors of a residential house may happen from time to time. To avoid this problem, a locking system should be applied to all the doors in order to ensure locking of doors. Locking all the doors with the use of conventional locks or the currently available electronic locks may be time-consuming especially if the doors to be locked are distant from each other. In addition, having a bulk of keys may add to the inconvenience especially if these keys were lost or misplaced.

The study aims to use a cellular phone with Bluetooth technology as a replacement for door keys in locking or unlocking of door locks. With this technology, it will be possible to access all the door locks of a residential house at any point within the Bluetooth range.
