Abstract/Summary
Estranghero (Stranger) is a short feature about parental bereavement, grief, and acceptance. The film also presents a contrast between the grieving process of a mother and a father. The film is about Tess Fajardo, a 40-year-old mother, who recently lost her 17-year-old son Imman. Set during the first day of the wake, she discovers that she doesn't know her son well through anecdotes from visitors and Imman's journal. When she meets a 16-year-old stranger named Annie, she finally confronts her fear and guilt of being estranged from her son. Total running time is approximately 17 minutes and 3 seconds.
