Abstract/Summary
This thesis presents a different kind of car protection system. It consists of three modules, namely, the Central Control Unit (CCU), the handheld remote transmitter/receiver and the manually operated clutch pedal lock system.
When intrusion is detected, the system's CCU will send a signal to the handheld remote through its own transmitter, and simultaneously, a timer will be triggered to activate the audible alarm and the subsequent locking devices located inside the vehicle. The handheld remote, on the other hand, can function as an indicator and an ON/OFF switch to activate/deactivate the system. The clutch/radio lock system will ensure that all accessories located within the vehicle (i.e., radio) will not be stolen and the car itself will be made immobile.
