Abstract/Summary
Sa Wala is a short video feature set in a place where giving food for the bereaved family of the dead is a tradition. It is about how a mother and her two sons cope with the loss of the head of their family who was their sole provider. The youngest child, Bok, experiences the joy of receiving food after his father's death. As days pass, and as food becomes scarce, he eventually associates death with food. The feature was shot in V8 format and was edited in U-matic. It has a running time of approximately 23 minutes. Pre-production lasted for one year and another year was devoted to production and post-production. The projected cost nearly P 45,000.
