Abstract/Summary
An analysis of the motivations and coping strategies of para athletes can provide insights to facilitate better training programs and to increase support for people with disability to participate in sports. The research aimed to ascertain whether or not there is a relationship between motivation and coping skills of Filipino para athletes by measuring the motivational and coping constructs through a survey questionnaire. The descriptive correlational design of the study employed standardized tools: sport motivation skill (SMS) and athletes coping inventory skills (ACSI). The study significant to athletes and coaches in facilitating better program for training among para athletes and to tailor the motivation factors associated with their coping.
