Abstract/Summary

The thesis contained in this document is concerned with the prototype of an ICAI (Intelligent Computer Assisted Instruction) in Physics. It aims to improve the students performance by functioning as a tool that would effectively teach high school students some vital topics in the concerned subject. It would also increase the instructor's capability of teaching by developing lessons and evaluations to the ICAI and review the students' performance. This document deals with an introduction to the current atmosphere of education in the country, and the existing ICAI developed by researchers. It then explains the development of the project itself. It would also deal with some theoretical backgrounds and related literatures in developing the system. It then goes to the software specification that explains the features and performance of the system. Following next is the design and implementation of the system. The last chapter gives the conclusion, what has been accomplished and some future directions concerning the system.
