Abstract/Summary
Pilat is a 20 minute video short feature that deals with the inner conflict of a man who is faced with an opportunity for vengeance. The story is about a barber who discovers that his customer is the son of the man who betrayed him in the past. A betrayal, that caused the death of his only son. As the barber trims the customer's hair and shaves him, he is confronted with a dilemma, an urge to avenge himself by harming another. In exploring the project's theme, the proponents decided to use an expressionistic treatment in telling the story. Through keen manipulation of Filmic time. Sound and Miseen scene, a stylized feature materialized. The project was shot in both Hi-8 and V-8 format. This was edited using both linear and non linear editing equipments. The final master copy is in U-matic format. Total time spent in making the proposal (Projcol) is one term. Total time spent in making the video short feature (Projco2) is six terms. Total cost of production is P50,500 only. The defense was held last December 5, 1995 at the TV Studio, Miguel Bldg., De La Salle University.
