Abstract/Summary
Using qualitative method, this study intended to determine the different responses of fathers towards the sudden death of their child and the different factors that played a part in the healing process of the bereaved fathers. Based on the gathered data from 9 respondents, it showed that the responses of fathers can be categorized into three, namely, emotional response, behavioral response and cognitive response. In addition, factors that contributed in the healing process of the fathers can either be external (social groups, family) or internal (personal traits and circumstances).
