Abstract/Summary

"Kanlungan" tells the story of Emilina "Emy" Buendia, a 60 year old woman who is struggling to cope with the sudden shift in her lifestyle after retiring until the revival of the musical theatre, Bituin, which triggers her path to rediscovery in life.

This short feature is a reminder that there is still peace, happiness, and vibrancy after the retirement age, and that it is still possible to experience the fullness of life even at an older age. It is a showcase of how retirement is actually the perfect time for self-actualization and should be perceived as something positive and uplifting.
