Abstract/Summary
The mediating role of self-deception (SD) between locus of control (LOC) and subjective well-being (SWB) was examined. Both LOC and SD were found to be predictors of SWB. The results on the mediating effect of SD supported the previous literature. Positive correlations were found for both LOC and SWB, and SD and SWB, but no correlation between LOC and SD was found. Thus, individuals with high locus of control were found to be greater in subjective well-being so do individuals who resort to self-deception more often.
