Abstract/Summary

Cadence is an electronic design automation software, which is widely used in the field of CMOS technology and fabrication. This study aims to make students adept with technical specifications, syntax command prompt and train them to use the said software through an instructional manual equipped with analog and digital circuit experimental module. This will help lessen the familiarization and learning time to use the software. Each module will teach the student how to create schematic diagram and layout design of the circuit using this software. They will be able to change parameters, such as width and length ratio, and view the results after simulation. With this manual, students will know how to use Cadence, create their own projects, and will be able to use other EDA tools such as Cadence, which may be an advantage for them specially when applying to electronics or fabrication companies.
