Abstract/Summary
Abstract. The PC Based Computer Laboratory Monitoring, is a system that monitors the use of individual computer networks. This system is applicable to all Windows 98/NT-based computer networks. The project is especially designed for computer laboratories here at De La Salle University.
The system, through a central computer, monitors the time of which the computer has been used through a log-in- and log-out process. It also determines what the software application/s was opened. It provides security because the system is designed to limit the access of users to files and folders and would be able to notify the person in charge if a user gain access of a restricted internet site that is prohibited by the administrator.
